This page explains how to request deletion of data held by Chatlah, including any data we received from Meta through the WhatsApp Business Platform. Chatlah is operated by Z Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd.
Which applies to you
| You are | What to do |
|---|---|
| A business using Chatlah You hold a Chatlah account for your company. |
Contact us directly using the steps below. We are able to delete your account data and any WhatsApp Business Platform data associated with it. |
| A customer who messaged a business You sent a WhatsApp message to a company that uses Chatlah. |
That business controls your conversation, not Chatlah. Contact the business you were messaging. If you contact us instead, we will pass your request to them and help them act on it. |
| A waitlist subscriber You submitted your email on this website. |
Email us and we will remove your address. No verification is needed beyond confirming the request comes from that address. |
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@chatlah.ai with the subject line Data deletion request.
- Tell us which category above applies to you, and include the account, business name or email address concerned.
- We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, so that nobody can delete data that is not theirs.
- We confirm in writing once the deletion is complete.
Deleting WhatsApp Business Platform data
If your business has connected a WhatsApp Business Account to Chatlah, you can end our access at any time by disconnecting it. That immediately stops Chatlah from reading or sending anything on that account.
Disconnecting stops future access but does not by itself erase what we already hold. To have that data deleted, email privacy@chatlah.ai. We delete it within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Conversation content and message metadata received through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Contact records and the customer context stored against them.
- Account, user and configuration data for your workspace.
- Waitlist email addresses, where that is what you are asking about.
What we may keep, and why
We may retain a limited amount of data where the law requires it, for example billing and tax records under Malaysian company law, or where we need it to establish or defend a legal claim. We keep only what is necessary for that purpose, we do not use it for anything else, and we delete it once the obligation ends.
Backups are cycled out on a rolling basis, so data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period after deletion from live systems.
